free run

I'd been contemplating buying these Nike Free Runs for a few weeks and finally decided that they'd be worth it. My feet are very thankful for my decision. After pretty much living in various heeled sandals over the summer my feet now feel like they're in heaven. I've honestly never worn anything so comfortable and seriously recommend that everyone buy a pair. These really have encouraged me to continue with the whole sports luxe trend.

the skirt

This skirt seems to have been featured on so many blogs lately and I can completely see why. I've tried it on with near enough everything I could think of and it works so well with all of it. I can't see myself wearing it much next spring but for winter it really is perfect. I'd been waiting for it to become available to buy online for ages but in the end gave up and went to the Zara store on Oxford Street where luckily they had some left. I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot of this skirt on my blog but for the first time wearing it I paired it with a Topshop sweater and my favourite Chloé boots. I promise I will wear some different footwear soon!

part blazer part coat

I knew I had to have this Mango coat as soon as I saw it online. I love how casual and easy it is to wear  and also the fact that it's a mix between a blazer and a coat. It's also super affordable which is always a bonus. I wore it with an old Topshop sweater that I sort of forgot I had, my Three Floor quilted shorts that I always seem to wear at least once a week lately and Chloé Susanna boots. I have to admit that I felt slightly guilty spending quite so much money on one pair of boots but if you take cost per wear into account then they really didn't cost that much at all. At least that's how I justify it to myself.

herringbone coat

I'm pretty obsessed with this herringbone coat I recently bought from Mango. So obsessed that I ended up keeping it in both colours after being sent the darker version when ordering it the first time. I bought a size bigger than I normally would as I wanted it to look slightly more masculine and oversized. I'll post more photos of this outfit soon.

finally

I've been growing my hair out for what feels like forever and it's pretty much at the point that I've been waiting for. I'd been wanting to try ombre hair for years and finally decided to do it naturally. I'm quite happy that it's starting to look more like intentional ombre rather than me just being lazy with my roots. I'm pretty sure there's not as much of a contrast between the roots and highlighted hair in person but for some reason it looks that way in this photo.

army jacket

Urban Outfitters jacket, Isabel Marant tank, Topshop jeans, Chloé shoes, Michael Kors watch.

I've had this Urban Outfitters army jacket for such a long time now and wear it so often that I was surprised when I realised that I'd never featured it on my blog before. So here it is, finally. I paired it with my Isabel Marant team tank, that I picked up when I was last in NY, Topshop jeans and Chloé braided sandals. I'm not going to lie, my feet were freezing cold.

autumn skirts

When I was rummaging through my wardrobe a while ago I noticed a serious lack of skirts so when I went shopping in London a few days ago I picked up these two skirts which are perfect for Autumn. The first is from Zara. When I tried it on I was quite surprised at how heavy and thick the material is but at least it will keep me warm. I also love that it's basically just a skirt over a skirt.
The second is from Topshop Boutique. I saw it online a while ago but it wasn't until I saw it in person that I really fell in love with it. Any photos of this skirt seriously doesn't do it justice. It's definitely something that needs to be seen in person.

suede crochet

Topshop jacket, Evil Twin dress, Topshop leggings, Chloé boots.

As soon as I walked past this street in London I just knew that I needed to have photos taken here. I think it was the colourfully graffitied walls that drew me in, even though they're barely noticeable in these photos. I was in London for a press day and to do some overdue shopping on Oxford Street. I have to admit that this Evil Twin tank dress and Topshop open knit suede jacket weren't the best things to wear on such a surprisingly cold day but it'd been so long since I last wore them that as soon as I looked through my wardrobe that morning they became all I wanted to wear.

pink shorts in autumn

Topshop sweater, Runwaydreamz shorts, Chloé boots.

I bought these pink, almost Barbie-esque, shorts by Runwaydreamz a couple of years ago which was back when they were still just a small company selling shorts on eBay. These shorts have definitely become more distressed over the years but I have no plans of parting with them anytime soon. I wore them with the warmest and most comfortable sweater I own, from Topshop, and my Chloé Susanna boots.

kill the night

Phillip Lim's Kill The Night comic book arrived at my door a few days ago. It had been so long ago that I signed up for one that I'd completely forgot about it. I love the idea of promoting a collection with something as fun as a comic book. The clothes seem even more amazing once you've seen them on the super cool characters. I'm not going to lie, but since reading the comic I want the Miho and Carmen pumps even more.

fuzzy sweater in london

H&M sweater, Three Floor shorts, Chloé boots.

I fell in love with this fuzzy sweater when I first saw Lana wear it in H&M's Fall 2012 campaign and couldn't resist it when I found it in store. The super pale pink mixed with the slightly 90's vibe really fits my mood right now. I'm almost certain that I could wear it with just about every pair of shorts I have but for shopping in Covent Garden I decided to wear it with Three Floor quilted shorts and Chloé boots.

beauty favourites

Chanel Perfection Lumiére - I'm not usually a fan of semi-matte foundation but I absolutely love this one. It lasts pretty much all day and the fact that it smells amazing is a bonus too.
Lucas Pawpaw Ointment - This has become something that I cannot live without. It's got so many different uses that I probably still haven't found them all yet. I use it on blemishes, cuts, blisters and also as a lip balm.
Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat - I don't know what I'd do without this being in my makeup bag anymore. It's great for subtle highlighting and hiding dark circles under the eyes.
Chloé Eau De Parfum - I fell in love with this perfume the first time I ever smelt it and it has slowly become the only perfume that I actually use now. It's lovely and fresh but definitely not too overpowering.
Caudalíe Beauty Elixir - This has become a staple in my beauty routine. It makes my skin look like it's glowing at least 10x more than it did before and also makes it a lot smoother. It can also be used to set makeup but I haven't tried that just yet.

sleeveless tuxedo jacket

Isabel Marant sleeveless tuxedo jacket, Topshop sweater, Topshop jeans, Isabel Marant boots, Michael Kors watch.

This Isabel Marant sleeveless tuxedo jacket is definitely one of my favourite things in my wardrobe. It's so easy to throw on over anything and keeps me surprisingly warm. I wore it with my Isabel Marant dicker boots, Topshop jeans which were cuffed of course and a Topshop sweater. I swear that pretty much all of Isabel Marant's shoes/sneakers/boots look so much better worn with jeans that are cuffed or cropped. I guess it's the 'Marant way'. Also, please excuse the mess of my windswept hair in these photos. I really do envy women who can pull off messy effortless hair, but alas, I am not one of them.

joan vs. fabiana

When it comes to Alexander Wang shoes I have a tendency to just about score the last pairs. I found the Joan pumps at Barneys in NY where I was told that they were the last pair within the company and I found the last pair of Fabiana sandals in my size on The Outnet. If someone was to ask me which pair I love more I really couldn't give an answer. They're both so easy to wear casually or not so casually, although one pair are definitely more comfortable than the other. The Joan pumps remain comfortable after many hours of wearing them but if comfort is not a factor then the Fabiana's are perfect.

relaxed

Topshop t-shirt, One Teaspoon jeans, Alexander Wang shoes, Céline sunglasses, Michael Kors watch.

I hadn't worn these jeans in quite a while and slightly forgot how much I love the relaxed fit of them. I have to wear them cuffed unless I want them to drag along the ground. Most of my life I've had difficulty finding jeans long enough for me so it's a nice change when I find jeans that I have the opposite problem with. I wore them with my super basic Topshop tee, that I now regret not buying in every colour available, Alexander Wang Joan pumps and Céline Audrey sunglasses.

testing

I've had my Olympus PEN E-P3 for just over a month now so I thought I'd post a few 'test shots' that I've taken throughout that time. I'm super impressed with this camera and I unexpectedly like quite a few of the art filters. They're the sort of thing I usually ignore on most cameras.
