free run

I'd been contemplating buying these Nike Free Runs for a few weeks and finally decided that they'd be worth it. My feet are very thankful for my decision. After pretty much living in various heeled sandals over the summer my feet now feel like they're in heaven. I've honestly never worn anything so comfortable and seriously recommend that everyone buy a pair. These really have encouraged me to continue with the whole sports luxe trend.

herringbone coat

I'm pretty obsessed with this herringbone coat I recently bought from Mango. So obsessed that I ended up keeping it in both colours after being sent the darker version when ordering it the first time. I bought a size bigger than I normally would as I wanted it to look slightly more masculine and oversized. I'll post more photos of this outfit soon.

autumn skirts

When I was rummaging through my wardrobe a while ago I noticed a serious lack of skirts so when I went shopping in London a few days ago I picked up these two skirts which are perfect for Autumn. The first is from Zara. When I tried it on I was quite surprised at how heavy and thick the material is but at least it will keep me warm. I also love that it's basically just a skirt over a skirt.
The second is from Topshop Boutique. I saw it online a while ago but it wasn't until I saw it in person that I really fell in love with it. Any photos of this skirt seriously doesn't do it justice. It's definitely something that needs to be seen in person.

fabiana

I've been dreaming of owning these Alexander Wang Fabiana sandals for quite a long time now so you can imagine my happiness and excitement when I found them on The Outnet a couple of days ago. I wasted no time buying in them which was a good thing as only five minutes later they were sold out in every size. They're so classic looking but the cape, which is detachable, adds some edge.

metallic shorts

I found these sporty looking metallic shorts on the sale section of Topshop's website a couple of days ago. Lately, for some reason, anything slightly metallic seems to draw me in completely. I couldn't decide which colour to get so I bought both the silver and pink.

chanel & ysl

I decided to update/upgrade my makeup a couple of days ago. I bought the highly praised Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat, Chanel pressed powder and Chanel Perfection Lumiére foundation. So far I've been extremely impressed with all of them, especially the foundation which gives the perfect semi-matte finish.

naked

As someone who tends to only use relatively nude eyeshadows I'm surprised that I hadn't got my hands on the Urban Decay Naked palette sooner. Since buying it last week I've already fallen in love with the first six shades and have been using them almost daily. I tend to use about three or more at a time as though I'm playing mad scientist with them. So far my favourites are 'Virgin', 'Naked' and 'Half Baked'. I have yet to try any of the darker shades but I'm determined to incorporate them into my eye makeup routine within the next couple of weeks.

quilted shorts

I'd been looking for a pair of quilted leather shorts for a while now so when I came across these by Three Floor I bought them straight away (it also helped that they were on sale). They're the perfect piece to pair with oversized knits and sheer shirts.

braided sandals

After searching for what feels like forever, I finally found these Chloé braided sandals in my size. I'm now hoping for warm weather so I can wear them with denim cutoffs and loose shirts.

leather tank

Last week I was a little disappointed because this Theyskens' Theory leather tank top that I had my eyes on had sold out. I was very sure that I would never end up owning it, until yesterday. My boyfriend, Daniel, turned up at my house with an Outnet box and inside was the tank top. It turns out he was the person who sneakily bought the last one.
Surprised would be an understatement.

mystical cami shorts

I'd been wanting these Lover silk and lace shorts for so long and finally decided to contact the Sydney boutique to order a pair. They're just as beautiful as I expected them to be, if not more. I plan on wearing/over-wearing these with oversized sweaters, pyjama style shirts and loose tanks.

chloé susanna boots

The highly sought-after Chloé Susanna boots were delivered to me the other day. I had been searching for these for so long and luckily Département Féminin had one pair in stock in my size.
These are literally the most perfect boots. I've tried them on with so many different outfits and they look amazing with everything. I don't think I've ever been so happy over a pair of boots before!
Also, thank you to the lovely Chrystalla at Département Féminin who kindly let me know when these were back in stock and even wrote a very lovely note to me.

paradise shorts

Pre-ordered these Ksubi 2012 paradise shorts. Going to have to wait at least six months until they'll be delivered but I know they're going to be worth the wait.

lace up shorts

I bought these Billabong Tempe lace up shorts when I was in NYC at the Billabong store in Times Square. I'd had my eye on them for a while and was so glad when I found them. They remind me so much of the Isabel Marant lace up shorts from the S/S '11 collection which I never managed to get my hands on.

crochet shorts

These crochet shorts from Zara were delivered the other day. I couldn't choose just one colour so I got them in off-white and black. I can't help but think how perfect these would look with the Isabel Marant Zora wedges.

joan

I saw the coveted Alexander Wang Joan pumps in Barneys when my boyfriend and I were on holiday in NYC. He very kindly bought them for me! I never even expected to find these anywhere as I knew they were completely sold out online and the sales assistant at Barneys told me this pair were the last within the company.  I've tried them on with so many outfits and they work with pretty much everything. Can't wait to wear these in the summer evenings.

céline audrey

I had been wanting these Céline Audrey sunglasses in large for so long and had been hoping that the Céline boutique in NYC would have them in stock. I intended to buy them in black but they had completely sold out of them so I was offered to try on some other colours. The tortoise shell was my favourite and I'm actually very glad black wasn't available as Audrey's original sunglasses in Breakfast At Tiffany's were tortoise shell as well.

Marant goodies

A few Isabel Marant pieces that I picked up from the boutique in New York.
I could have spent so much in there but had to limit myself. Fellow Marant addicts will understand.

my boyfriend spoils me

Earlier in the week I went shopping in London with my boyfriend and he very kindly decided to buy me a couple of things whilst we were there. The first was a pair of Jeffrey Campbell 'Tardy' boots in red. I've been wanting a pair of these for so long now and as soon as I saw them in Urban Outfitters I fell in love. They only had one pair left in my size so Dan and I decided it was meant to be. We then went to Selfridges and discovered rails and rails of Wildfox t-shirts. When rummaging through the rails I saw one with excessively long fringing and once again, I fell in love. I wasn't planning on buying it as I didn't even have enough money left but my boyfriend decided to spoil me again and bought it for me.
I feel bad that I don't buy him nearly half as much as he buys me but I do have the best birthday present planned for him.

goth girl, tie dye & a body chain

I really cannot control myself when it comes to Topshop clothing. I tell myself I won't buy anymore but then I end up seeing at least three things I love. I saw the 'goth girl' t-shirt a while ago and regretted not buying it but luckily it became available to buy at my local Topshop. I'd also wanted the tie dye leggings for a while too but they were completely sold out of my size on the website but once again my local Topshop came to the rescue. The last thing is a body chain. I've loved the look of them for years and I had seen them on so many Australian and American websites but I wanted to be able to try one on before buying it.
